Practice Peace
I’ve been practicing Yoga for over 10 years. My favourite style is Hot Yoga with a Moda (or Moksha) instructor. However these past few years I have really enjoyed practicing the art of peace in my own home. There is no “hot” component and sometimes there is no “peace” but this form of practice to me is important. It really makes me take a deeper look inward and how I can find peace within myself and not so much on the happenings of the home and world outside. My yoga practice is anywhere from 30-60 minutes as well as my meditation practice which I’ll share in a different post. What I love about Moda Yoga is it follows a series of stretches. Usually the same 40 poses however I love to incorporate my own challenging poses as they pop into my head. I hold the poses longer than some other styles of yoga so that I can close my eyes and be mindful of my body in that exact moment. While there is not “hot” component I still find this style to be very calming and detoxifying. It tones, stretches, and strengthens my body. There are plenty of online and free yoga classes you can follow. I’ll share with you how I got started https://modoyoga.com/
